My computer is an idiot

Journal Entry: Mon Oct 12, 2009, 10:29 PM
my laptop sucks. ever since i got my new power cord, the fan makes an irritable buzzing noise. so, i used my superior IT skills to diagnose the issue as "what the hell is that freaking noise?!" and the solution to be "screw it, i'll just smack it"

at any rate, i don't know how many times i can hit my laptop before it decides to stop taking the abuse, and shut me out forever.

anyways, i'm now a premium member. ha! so i can use premium member...dealies. woo. hopefully this will be an incentive to draw more often, and post less ugly things.

well, i need a scanner for that. hahahaha.

BACKSTORY

The world exists with 6 elements (fire, wind, water, earth, plant, and spirit) each of which corresponding to a specic race. These races were given the gift to influence the elements based on their actions and emotions. However like many other civilizations and the very elements they represented, these races could not live in harmony. Wars erupted over petty differences, and because of their influence on the elements, the world began to die. The godess refused to intervine, claiming that the races were given free will for a reason. This angered many, and in time, a 7th race appeared. Some believe the race was created artificially, others believe the goddess created them, however one truth was known, they were the world's saviors. They were the Druida, winged women (like the valkyrie) who's blood acted as a magical control. The races had no concious control over the elements, however, these women did. They had one purpose in life, to purify the evils and to give the world a second chance. However their idea of "balance" meant corrupting the elements to work in allignment. Fire burning under water, earth possessing no gravity, plants and life ceasing to end, and living in eternal torture, these things were how the Druida saw the world should work. It was quite literally hell, and there was little the races could do about it

It was the brink of their destruction, that the races finally learned to live in harmony and join together to take down these beasts. Through their war they learned the race's blood was infact the way they could control the elements. However, these druida were virtually immortal. They possessed miraculous healing properties, and not only that, those whom discovered they could use the druida's blood as a catalyst for magic, soon realize the Druida were immune to the elements they corrupted. If it were not for the most spiritual of the races, the Demons, they would have fallen to these Druida. The Demons found they could capture the druida in a device that would preserve their blood and souls, and forever immobolize them. They erected six of these devices, one for each element, at six locations throught the world. Through these devices magic became possible for the different races, and the world they had begun to destroy through their elemental influence, and wars, had begun to rise once again. These druida had saved their world, but at what cost? The goddess that had created them seemed to have disapeared, and their wars begun again, this time with the destructive addition of magic.

GAMEPLAY

The game itself ties into both the devices, and the goddess. It is believed that the goddess had not left, but had actually been confined by the very elements the druida had corrupted. This meant that the world had an expiration date, and would ultimatly perish even with the devices keeping it alive. This is, however, a story, and whether or not it is true is up to speculation. (No I won't give you the answer.) The only way the goddess can be saved is to release the druida blood from the devices. This would destroy magic, and release the druida of any seals kept upon them, keeping them from rising again. Both of which are very taboo in the world, and is something that would be considered terrorism at best.

And that is the point of the game, to release the blood.

You join Kelta, a young woman whom had supposedly been infused with the blood (its a procedure done only by the richest people. It enhances the magical ability.) Domino, a demon who had been released from an ancient seal, and is now bound to Kelta by a curse, which causes them to share magical damage. Brought together by Tori, an eldery demon wizardess whom lives by the old story, and believe the world can only live fairly with the blood released. To do this they must track down the "guardian's" of the devices, a single member of each of the races who was trained to release the blood, using, of coure, the blood of a Druida. That Druida is Kelta.

Each of the Guardians has their own backstory, and place in the plot of the first game, along with unlocking more and more story about the 6 races. Eventually, once the blood has been completely released, a destruction can begin, that would completely destroy all of the druida blood. This would destroy magic, and hopefully allow the goddess to return. However, if this is not possible, Domino's true purpose would begin. As the story progresses, it is revealed that if their plan fails, if the stories are not true, a Demon is the only thing that can take down the Druida. Only with the Druida completely gone, can the Goddess return, and the world fail to perish. As they meet each guardian, Domino can be trained further in his own abilities, and the abilities necessary to defeat the Druida. This includes Kelta, which is precicely the reason he should never allow himself to get too close to her.

It has come to my attention, at least in my own personal thoughts, that i can no longer draw. I havn't really drawn anything for months, (not including sprites and doodles) maybe even a year or more, and i'ev recently attempted to draw. Now this isn't a phase of art block, iknew exactly what iw anted to draw, and i knew exactly how i wanted it to look. but when i started to sketch it, i couldn't get it to come out at all. I don't know, maybe it was the paper, or the pencil? But those are the tools iv'e been drawing with my whole life.

So i've decided to stop kidding myself, i can't draw. I used t be able to, i know i could, and i knew that with enough steady practice i could have had great works. Unfortuantly somewhere along the line... i just.. stopped. But i think that stopping point may have been the end for me.

no this isn't just an emo rant, nor am i trying to gain pity from people to try to beg me to draw. this isn't an attension seeking blog, hell its mainly for my own purpose. The fact of the matter is... i believe my carpol tunnel has finally set into the point that i can no longer uses my hands the way i used to. I mean, typing like this i feel my fingers going numb. That never happened before. I can't move my mouse the way i used to (any of you who knew me when i draw, all my artwork was done with a mouse)

thankfully, the projects i'm working on don't necessarily require drawing. I still have the ability to sprite, so thats good.

so... heres the primary purpose of this particular blog, to any who read it.

I need someone to draw for me. In my game i need profile pictures, and emotions for all my characters. Of course i would pay them. It would be a dollar per completed emoticon picture, and 5 per character drawing. I know this may not sound like much, but when taken in account all the characters in my game, it could easily reach in excess of over 250 dollars.

So, if you think you are a good enough artist, or know of a friend who needs help, and is talented, let me know.

just be warned, i am very picky, you could be the greatest artist in deviantart, with hundreds of thousands of watchers, and i might choose someone who regards their own art as crap, over yours.

Just somethihgn to consider.

This is for those of you who wish to know more about my game, and havn't been told directly by me, the backstory.

The earliest record states: the world was existed with 7 evils locked beneath existance, and the godess that kept the world in balance.

The godess was lonely, and her world was vast and peaceful, so she created 6 races that portained to the 6 wordly elements. Those races were:

(Spirit) Daemon - A spiritual race of fauns whom had control over lightning, chants, and curses.

(Fire) Nomad - A destructive and controling race of humanlike creatures who's flames could destroy and resurect any city.

(Water) Undien - A pure and blessed race of water dwellers who's waters allowed them to purify wounds and heal.

(Earth) Teran - An adaptive race whom can reshape the earth.

(Air) Shura - A misunderstood race of transforming fox, feline, and canine creatures whom change and flow as the world does, and impacts that said.

(Plant) Dryad - A dark skinned race of elves whom are able to create lush and plentyful greens and plants, and control their form.

These special six races were given two abilities by their goddess. The gift of free will, and the ability to influence the world by their actions and emotions. Each race had a subconcious control over the elements.

This was the downfall of their world. Like the elements they were aligned with, the races could not live in harmony together. They seperated themselves up to the point that they had to overlap. War broke out almost instantaniously, due to superiority, and the greed of land. Each race believed differently, and each race had such a hold upon the world that with every war, the world died more and more.

Until it had nearly broken apart. The godess refused to save her world, and her children. She gave them free will, and the free will to make their own treaturous mistakes.

This angered many members of the 6 races to the point that they denounced her. Thousands died, and the world had just nearly crumbled to a bitter nonexistance. Until a select few discovered the secrets the godess hoped none of her children would ever discover.

They discovered the Druida, and the chaotic element that came from them. The druida are 7 women with grand powder white wings, who's silvery blood acts as a catalyst to the chaotic elements. The Chaotic element was manipulated by the druida to act as a coat that preserved the world, completely absorbing the pure element that had once existed. This took control away from not only the godeess, but also that of her children. The world had been saved.

However the godess had been captured by the very chaotic element. Her control ceased on the very day the druida had been released.

The druida were not saviors, no, they were the true evil of any world. For they did not want to preserve the world, so that the 6 races could live peacefully, they wanted to resurect the world that they so believed to be true. A world of Chaos. A world where fire burns beneath the sea, where terrain can float up into the air. Where life becomes death, pain is eternal, and the soul can never leave the body. Where Hell becomes the only thing possible.

Slowly the races began to realize just what a world theirs was becoming, and they knew they must take down these Druida. However the druida were immortal to an extent. They had amazing healing abilities, could teleport at will, and had complete control over their 6 elements.

But what gave them control? The druida's silver blood within their unearthly wings. However, the blood that pumped through their veins was the catalyst any one could cast a spell upon. This became the druida's downfall: Their ungodly-given natural traits.

The races captured the druida with an ancient old spell that would split their limbs apart, spill their blood, and preserve it for all eternity-along with their souls -within a catalyst stone. There were 6 catalyst stones erected in the birth places of the 6 races, that held one druida.

The chaotic element remained, and the world had been saved. Magic became possible as this event passed. Spells were created that would use the druida's blood from the stones as a catalyst.

The world continued to live as if the druida had never existed. The existance of a race that could control the elements so directly had been forgon, and all records destroyed. to the point that it became a myth told only by the Daemons.

The wars begun again, lives were lost, but the world continued to live.

...but there were 7 druida. The 7th had not been captured, she was immune to the spell. However it is said that she had disapeared, unknown how to act without the aid of the other 6. They need all 7 in order to cast the world into a hellish state.

Could this disaster become a reality once more?

The game itself follows not the 7th druida, but rather one of druida blood: Kelta.

It begins with her being tracked down by the 7th, and being tricked into cursing herself and binding herself to a daemon unknown to all, and plagued with amnesia.

Domino's past, while unknown at the period, ties in directly with the druida themselves.

But her being cursed and tied to him is essential, for it makes her a walking catalyst stone.

From here an adventure begins with an attempt to save the goddess. The half daemon woman known as Tori is the keeper of an old legend and procedure to completely destroy the catalyst stones, and to resurect the goddess, and restore the world to what it truly should be.

In order to do this they need the blood of a druida: Kelta's blood.

But not only that, they are being followed by the 7th, and she has something planned. Something HUGE.

This is an RPG game full of story, character development, love, deception, tragedy, humor, drama, and lots of dialog and cutscenes.

Now that was JUST the backstory. Pretty epic huh? There is ALOT more to the story than what i have just brought out. That just gets the game going. The real story is what occures after the 6 druida are captured.

Keeping tuning into my deviantart for more info on this game! Hopefully it sounds like something fun to play~
